New ThriftSmart Store Opens in Franklin – Spring 2014

ThriftSmart_FranklinWe are thankful to Bonnie Burch with the Tennessean for writing a really nice article about our new location in Franklin that will open in the spring.

From the article:

The new store, which will sell gently used items such as clothes, shoes, housewares, furniture, electronics and media and books, will also be located near two of the charities ThriftSmart serves: New Hope Academy, which is also on Downs Boulevard, and Mercy Community Healthcare on Murfreesboro Road. All profits from the store will also go to two other Brentwood charities, The Belize Project and African Leadership.

Although it will sell some furniture and housewares, the smaller Franklin store will concentrate mostly on clothing, with a special boutique area.

“With our stores, we try to have a department-store feel where everything is colorized and sized. We want people to commit to buying and maybe donating the money they would have spent at a big department store to a local charity,” said Krapf.

We are really excited to be serving another community and supporting some excellent charities.  Please check back here to learn more about the new store – and thanks to the Middle Tennessee community for supporting us!
